Councils
The society has wide-ranging interests and varied functions. To effectively address and attend to these, many committees have been provided. To properly supervise the committees, they have been organized into councils. Their purpose is to plan and implement activities in various areas of pathology. The functions of each council are to supervise the activities of the committees, collect and review the reports of the committees and recommend action to the Board of Governors. Each council shall consist of a group of standing committees with related functions. The membership of each council shall be composed of the respective committee chairman. Each council should meet at least four (4) times a year or as often as necessary to accomplish its function. The council shall report the activities or recommendations of the committees to the Board of Governors at least two (2) times a year or as required by the Board.
